Beautiful Bargello By Joyce Petschek Hardcover First Edition 1997 - Item#CB100-TAS
This beautiful book contains the charts and instructions to create 26 lovely projects which are worked on ordinary canvas and use a variety of threads such as silk or wool.
Baregello is an elegant style of needlework that originated in the 16th century in Italy and later became popular throughout Europe and America in the 17th and 18th centuries.
Although it gives the appearance of being difficult it is an extremely simple style to master as it consists of an established pattern of straight stitches repeated in different color sequences across the entire piece of work.
Book contains a dazzling collection of designs for cushions, chair seats, lampshades, hats and vests. Photos above show only a few of the gorgeous projects that can be made. Some of the photos show a light spot in the photo due to the light reflecting on the glossy pages.
